The Toyota Tamaraw now gets additional automatic variants

Answering demand from their customers and a result of positive reception, Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) is expanding the Tamaraw lineup with additional variants catered to suit more customers.

Added to the Toyota Tamaraw lineup are the new 2.4 GL A/T Aluminum Cargo and 2.4 GL A/T Utility Van variants, priced at Php 1,167,000 and Php 1,307,000, respectively.

This means both now get additional torque from their 2.4-liter turbodiesel engines (2GD-FTV), now rated at 400Nm with the six-speed automatic transmission, with the same output at 150 horsepower. Both have a payload capacity of just under 1,000kg.

On top of more torque and the convenience of a self-shifting transmission, the two variants also get additional features from the top-spec 2.4 GL Dropside variant. According to Toyota’s website, both get LED headlights, 16-inch alloy wheels, a partial body color finish for the front grille, and a seven-inch audio head unit.

That’s not all. TMP has also announced that now available for indent order are additional conversion variants: 2.4 Ambulance DSL M/T, 2.4 Telco Van DSL M/T, 2.4 Patrol Car DSL M/T, and 2.4 Ref Van DSL M/T

New color options are also now available for the GL Dropside and Utility Van variants. The former can now be had with a Super Red paint job, while the latter can now be had in options of Black 1, Greyish Blue Metallic, or Super Red. The Tamaraw Dropside DSL M/T, meanwhile, will additionally be available in Silver Metallic.
