Are these the specifications of the Geely EX2 for PH?

The BYD Seagull and Dolphin are both popular options to those looking for an all-electric hatchback for getting around the city. Geely Motor Philippines (GMP) sees a lot of potential in the segment which is why it wants in with the Geely EX2 which has been confirmed for local introduction.

And while a launch date and pricing are still unknown, we have what might just be the small electric hatchback’s specifications for when it does arrive in our market as it has been included in the List of Recognized EVs of the Department of Energy (DOE).

Based on the spec sheet, there will be two variants for the Geely EX2 in the Philippines–Pro and Max, probably inspired by a certain electronics brand named after a fruit.

Both variants will be powered by a single rear-mounted electric motor that’s capable of 116 horsepower and 150Nm of torque. Top speed is 130kph, and it’s paired to a 39.4kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery that allows it to drive for up to 325km on a single charge. Standard AC charging takes 6.5 hours, while DC charging brings that down to just 25 minutes.

Most standard equipment are also very similar between the two such as full LED exterior lighting, heated and power-adjustable side mirrors, synthetic leather upholstery, a 14.6-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and an 8.8-inch digital instrument cluster, among others.

Setting them apart from each other are 15-inch steel wheels with covers, a four-speaker audio system, reverse camera, and glovebox, on the Pro; while the Max gets 16-inch alloy wheels, a six-speaker audio system, wireless phone charger, 540-degree panoramic view camera, passenger side storage drawer (instead of glovebox), six-way power adjustable driver seat, an optional Ivory White interior, ambient lighting, and a suite of advanced driver-assist systems (ADAS).

Now do take these with a grain of salt as the spec sheet uploaded may be subject to change and also includes various typographical errors. Despite that, we won’t be surprised to see the local spec Geely EX2 be largely similar to what’s available overseas.
