The Jetour T2 gains a five-star safety rating from the ASEAN NCAP

The Jetour T2 is a popular option for those looking for a relatively affordable large SUV, whether purely powered by fossil fuels or with a mix of electrification. It was among the final vehicles to receive a safety assessment by the New Car Assessment Program for Southeast Asian Countries (ASEAN NCAP) in 2025, and it passed with flying colors.

The five-seater midsize SUV gained a perfect five-star safety rating from its first assessment by the ASEAN NCAP, based on their 2021-2025 assessment protocol which is set to be replaced this month by the new 2026–2030 protocol.

Helping the Jetour T2 gain its five-star safety rating is its total overall score of 86.50 out of 100 points, based on four assessment categories which are as follows, along with each individual score per category:

  • Adult Occupant Protection (AOP) – 37.17 out of 40 points
  • Child Occupant Protection (COP) – 15.94 out of 20 points
  • Safety Assist (SA) – 17.14 out of 20 points
  • Motorcyclist Safety (MS) – 16.25 out of 20 points

We are delighted to announce that the Jetour T2 has achieved a 5-Star rating, offering consumers a robust new option in the safety-conscious market. As the list of ASEAN NCAP-assessed vehicles grows, it empowers consumers to align their specific lifestyle preferences—such as recreational and outdoor activities—with the highest standards of occupant protection. The Jetour T2 successfully bridges the gap between adventure-ready design and uncompromising safety. We commend the Jetour team for their commitment to automotive safety excellence,” said the ASEAN NCAP’s press release.

The Jetour T2 was launched in the Philippine market in 2023 as part of the brand’s initial lineup. Standard safety equipment include six airbags, anti-lock braking system (ABS), electronic stability control (ESC), and blind spot detection (BSD), among others. A suite of advanced driver-assist systems (ADAS) is also offered as standard on all variants locally.
