It’s official: Toyota PH launching 2020 Vios on July 25
Toyota Motor Philippines announced through their official Facebook page a few days ago that they will be launching a new model on July 25. It was unclear at that time what exact model they would be launching as the teaser image only showed a shadowy front fascia.
We even posted here that it would probably be the updated Toyota Yaris hatchback as the teaser matched the front fascia shown in patent images. Well we can now end the speculation as Toyota Motor Philippines has just revealed not only the model’s name but also what it will look like. It’s the updated 2020 Toyota Vios.
Yes, the country’s consistently bestselling vehicle will be receiving a refresh for the 2020 model year. Posted with the hashtag #LevelUpWithVios, it looks like the updated Vios will be receiving minor updates to the front fascia.
Very visible is the new front grille which is shaped similar to the signature spindle grille of Lexus, Toyota’s luxury car division. The front grille also gets a chrome strip which goes into what looks like new LED headlights. It also seems like the LED daytime running lights which used to be in the lower grille are now integrated in the headlight clusters. Right now we can’t tell if there will be updates to the rear.
We don’t know what updates it will receive inside and under the hood but we can expect the 2020 Toyota Vios to remain largely unchanged in those areas. It’ll probably get an upgraded infotainment system.
Just like the previous launch of the 2020 Toyota Wigo, the 2020 Toyota Vios will also be launched online through the Toyota Motor Philippines official Facebook page on July 25, at 6:00 PM.
