Honda Prelude to be available for pre-order in PH starting February 27

The Honda Prelude is one of the hottest and most anticipated halo models for Honda Cars Philippines. Previewed locally last year, it’s not only a revival of a legendary nameplate, but is said to be a spiritual successor to the Civic Type R which was recently discontinued.
For those very excited to get their hands on the Japanese automaker’s latest electrified coupé, HCPI has announced that pre-orders will be opened on February 27, 2026 (Friday), as they prepare for its official launch which will be in the coming months.

HCPI has not announced any major specifications, but we did get our hands on an initial spec sheet thanks to the Department of Energy (DOE). While not final, it gives us a good idea of what to expect. You can read about that here.

The company did confirm that the Prelude will come in one variant, the 2.0 e:HEV E-CVT, and will come in five different colors: Moonlit White Pearl, Rallye Red, Racing Blue Pearl, Meteoroid Gray Metallic, and Crystal Black Pearl.
It should be no surprise that it’s mostly similar to the global variant, especially in the powertrain department with its e:HEV powertrain that’s composed of a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine and dual electric motors, which HCPI also says has a combined fuel economy figure of 25.6km/l. It will also come with the S+ Shift system for simulated gearshifts.
Pricing has also not yet been announced, but with reservations now open, we won’t have to wait too long to find out. And by the looks of it, the Prelude will be available at all Honda dealerships in the country once launched.
