Nissan shows off the next-generation X-Trail e-Power

As part of the four upcoming models that Nissan showed off during its new long-term vision announcement event in Japan, one of these is the all-new X-Trail or Rogue e-Power, which embodies one of Nissan’s Global Core models as part of its streamlined product portfolio, which cuts down the global lineup from 56 to 45 models.

While still pretty much a design preview of the new model, this adopts Nissan’s newest design that was first seen in models like the Ariya, the Leaf, and the Elgrand, with a singular black trim piece that holds the LED headlights, the hexagonal-shaped LED daytime running lights, and the hexagonal grille vents.

The rest of the body has more angular lines and flared out fenders, alongside a new funky wheel design, and the hexagonal motif continues on the D-pillar and the LED taillights, which appear to be a light bar connected by large solid LED blocks.

Nissan has confirmed that this will utilize the e-4orce all-wheel drive and the next-generation ProPilot system that will be capable of enhanced self-driving capabilities. The new e-Power system will “deliver the efficiency of a strong hybrid with the spirited driving character provided by electric motors, all without needing to charge.”

The new X-Trail is set to be released some time in 2027 for the United States, but this makes it a bit awkward for Nissan Philippines, as it has yet to launch the current-generation X-Trail, which will allegedly make its debut this June.
