The City of General Trias, Cavite is now accessible through CALAX

The Cavite-Laguna Expressway (CALAX) is gradually inching closer to completion as its operator, Metro Pacific Tollways Corporation, along with the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH), has officially inaugurated its Subsection 3.
Spanning from the Aguinaldo Highway in the town of Silang, Cavite to Governor’s Drive on the boundary of the cities of General Trias and Dasmariñas, also in Cavite, CALAX Subsection 3 began construction in January 2024. It is expected to serve approximately 6,000 vehicles per day.

The newly opened section spans a total of 7.88km and is expected to reduce travel time between Aguinaldo Highway and Governor’s Drive to just six minutes from 30 minutes. Meanwhile, motorists traveling from SLEX-Mamplasan to Governor’s Drive and vice versa will be able to do so in just 26 minutes from the previous one hour.
Toll fees are waived for the section’s first month of operation. For reference, toll fees from SLEX-Mamplasan to the CALAX-Aguinaldo Interchange are currently at Php 81 for Class 1 vehicles, Php 163 for Class 2 vehicles, and Php 244 for Class 3 vehicles.
Once completed, the CALAX will span a total of 44.63km, starting from the Mamplasan Exit of the South Luzon Expressway in Biñan, Laguna, and seamlessly connecting to the Manila-Cavite Expressway (CAVITEX) in Kawit, Cavite, passing through different cities and towns in the along the way.
