ACMobility and Shell open new charging stations across the country
As battery electric vehicles (BEV) and plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEV) sales continue to grow, vehicle charging infrastructure has to catch up to. With the partnership between ACMobility and Shell Pilipinas Corporation, it’s happening.
The two companies, the former one of the largest operators of EV charging stations in the country, and the latter one of the largest fuel companies in the world, continue to aggressively expand their charging networks, this time with the opening of eight new charging stations across the Philippines.
The newest locations to be inaugurated are both at Shell Mobility service stations along the northbound and southbound directions of the North Luzon Expressway (NLEX) in Mexico, Pampanga, giving a boost to charging options for travelers heading to the provinces of Central and Northern Luzon.

The new northbound ACMobility charging station provides motorists with three 120kW CCS2 DC chargers and one 22kW Type 2 AC charger, while the southbound charging station provides motorists with two 120kW CCS2 DC chargers.
“As we ramp up our efforts to build the Philippine EV Spine, we are grateful to have Shell as our partner in advancing the country towards sustainable mobility. Through our partnership, we’re making EV charging accessible along major thoroughfares that link key destinations across Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao,” said ACMobility Head of Mobility Infrastructure Carla Buencamino.
On top of the two new ACMobility EV Charging Hubs on the North Luzon Expressway (NLEX), six others are now open in the following locations:
- Shell North Expressway Dau, Pampanga
- Shell Subic, Zambales
- Shell Mangaldan, Pangasinan
- Shell Tanaytay Alaminos, Pangasinan
- Shell Bago Aplaya Talomo, Davao City
- Shell Matina Enclaves, Davao City
“Through this partnership, we’re bringing together Shell’s wide presence in strategic locations and ACMobility’s expertise in building EV charging infrastructure. By combining our complementary strengths, we’ll be able to serve the country’s growing community of EV drivers,” said Shell Mobility Non-Fuel Retail and E-Mobility Manager Jolo Valdez.
ACMobility and Shell are aiming to build more charging hubs in a total 50 Shell locations with more than 100 charge points across the country. Other charging sites in Pampanga, Cavite and Camarines Sur are set to open soon, while hubs in Batangas, Bataan and Cebu are already scheduled for construction. As of July 2026, ACMobility already operates over 200 charging locations across the country.
