The Honda Prelude looks hot in this limited edition colorway

The return to production of the Honda Prelude nameplate last year was both well received and also met with a lot of criticism. Regardless of which side you’re on, there is no doubt that its comeback is one of the biggest in the global automotive industry.

And as with any specialty vehicle model, the two-door grand tourer is getting a new limited edition version, simply called the 2027 Limited Edition, and it’s looking very hot and attractive.

The overall vehicle is the same with no special mechanical or design changes. What makes it special is the Premium Crystal Garnet Metallic exterior paint job, essentially a dark shade of red that’s close to maroon. This is matched with a red accent on the bumpers that replaces the blue accents, along with red front brake calipers.

The interior is also made to match the exterior with a Bordeaux (deep red) color for the dashboard trim, front seats, center console, armrests, and door trim. The steering wheel gets red stitching, and the dashboard also gets the ‘Prelude’ name embroidered in red. The almost useless rear seats retain their full black fabric finish.

Again, there are no mechanical changes to the Prelude for the 2027 Limited Edition. It retains its e:HEV hybrid powertrain shared with the Civic e:HEV, along with the S+ Shift simulated gear system, and suspension components from the Civic Type R.

Sales of the Honda Prelude 2027 Limited Edition will start in August 2026 for the Japanese market, with a suggested retail price of 6,306,300 yen (~Php 2,373,000). It’s unknown if it will be offered in overseas markets like ours, but one thing’s for sure, it looks hot.
