VinFast VF 3 enters service as patrol car in Noveleta, Cavite

If tourist hotspot Tagaytay City and its surrounding areas have the Toyota Wigo as the small member of their patrol vehicle fleet, the VinFast VF 3 is now getting similar duties, in the town of Noveleta, also in the province of Cavite.

The smallest and one of, if not the most popular offering of VinFast Philippines, is now being deployed as the first fully electric police patrol vehicle in the province of Cavite, but also in the entire CALABARZON Region which also covers the provinces of Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, and Quezon.

The initial batch of units were supplied by the VinFast Marikina dealership and its principal, XentroMotors, with additional units expected to be added. The VinFast VF 3 patrol vehicles will support local patrol operations and are expected to help reduce fuel consumption and vehicle operating costs.

While its estimated 215km range may sound a bit paltry, the VinFast VF 3 was slightly reconfigured to accommodate patrol vehicle needs, particularly for equipment storage. Its compact dimensions are also said to be an advantage, allowing police officers to easily drive through congested areas and narrow spaces where larger vehicles may find difficulty.

We won’t be surprised to see more of the VinFast VF 3 becoming a police patrol vehicle on local roads in the future, especially if all goes well with this first implementation. Do you think it’s a good idea?
