Toyota Land Cruiser 300 Hybrid now available in PH few weeks after PIMS debut

Less than a month after making its local debut at the 10th Philippine International Motor Show (PIMS), the Toyota Land Cruiser 300 Hybrid (HEV) is now officially on sale in the Philippines, marking a new chapter for the Japanese automaker’s flagship offering in our market.

Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) has announced that it has started retail sales of the full-size SUV, which is also one of the brand’s longest running nameplates. Its introduction here also coincides with the Land Cruiser nameplate’s 75th year of existence, making it extra special.

Compared to the standard Land Cruiser 300 which gets a twin-turbo diesel V6 powertrain under the hood, the Land Cruiser 300 HEV is powered by a 3.5-liter twin-turbo gasoline V6 engine (V35A-FTS).

The engine alone produces a healthy 415 horsepower and 650Nm of torque, while the added electric motor makes 49 horsepower, all sent to all four wheels by a 10-speed automatic transmission. The system is also paired to a 1.87kWh lithium-ion battery.

Outside the powertrain, differences with the standard Land Cruiser 300 include a slightly lower 234mm ground clearance, electric power steering, and an aero kit that features black accents. The second row seats now split 60:40, and the cargo area now features a deck board for a flatter load floor. Rear passengers will also now enjoy a rear entertainment system.

Other features remain the same such as a limited-slip differential, leather interior upholstery, dual 12.3-inch screens, a 14-speaker JBL sound system, and the entire suite of the Toyota Safety Sense advanced driver assistance system.

Pricing for the Toyota Land Cruiser 300 Hybrid is set at Php 6,930,000 or Php 1,172,000 more than the standard turbodiesel Land Cruiser 300 which is priced at Php 5,758,000. Available colors are still the same as before: Precious White Pearl (+Php 15,000), Silver Metallic, Attitude Black Mica, and Gray Metallic.
