Is this the updated 2021 Volkswagen Santana?
About two months ago, Volkswagen Philippines announced that they will be introducing an updated version of their entry-level Santana subcompact sedan.
Well it looks like the 2021 Volkswagen Santana will be available in the market very soon as we chanced upon an interesting photo on the German brand’s local website.
Shown on the website is basically the same Santana sedan locally launched in 2018 but with a different set of alloy wheels with a dual 10-spoke design. It would be good to note though that since the model was introduced, the website and advertisements showing the vehicle showed a two-tone set of alloy wheels which were actually never made available here.
Scrolling down on the website, we also saw that the 2021 Santana now comes with a new 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
There appears to be no changes to the Santana’s powertrain if based on the information available on the website. It still has the same 1.5 L MPI Petrol Engine that produces 110 hp and 145 Nm of torque, paired to a 6-speed automatic transmission.
We don’t know if what else exactly are the changes made on the 2021 Volkswagen Santana but since some information are already available on their website, we’ll probably be finding out more in the coming days or weeks.
