2022 Nissan Terra is launching on September 1
The wait is soon coming to an end. After a couple of teasers showing off some of its features, plus a couple of spy photos, covered and uncovered, the 2022 Nissan Terra getting closer to being available in the country with a launch set in exactly a week. To be exact, the heavily revised version of Nissan’s midsize SUV entry will be launched on September 1, 2021.
Known as the X-Terra in the Middle Eastern market where it was first revealed last year, the 2022 Nissan Terra for the local market is expected to be the same, if not similar to the Thai-market Terra which was revealed there last week.
Thanks to a couple of teasers on Nissan Philippines’ official social media pages, we can confirm a couple of the 2022 Terra’s new features. These include a new Bose audio system and 9-inch NissanConnect touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay, a new 7-inch digital display in the instrument cluster similar to that of the Navara, and a new electronic parking brake which also means that the updated Terra will now have rear disc brakes as well.
Also based on its spy shots taken on Philippine streets, we’re expecting higher variants to come with a two-tone black and dark red interior color scheme, paired with the new and more modern dashboard layout.
We’re also expecting it to be equipped with Nissan’s host of driver-assist systems dubbed Nissan Intelligent Mobility. Some of these features are Intelligent Rear View Mirror/Monitor, Intelligent Forward Collision Warning, Intelligent Emergency Braking, and Lane Departure Warning, among others.
For pricing, full specifications and other details, all we can do right now is wait for the official launch date to come. Again, it’s happening on September 1, 2021, Wednesday, and will be held online through Nissan Philippines’ official Facebook page and YouTube channel at 5:00 PM PST.
