Here are all the specs and features of the PH-spec Toyota Raize
Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) has finally launched its worst kept secret, the 2022 Toyota Raize. It’s the brand’s latest B-segment crossover set to compete with the likes of the Ford EcoSport and Kia Stonic.
Not only did information about the model find its way online very early, TMP also fully revealed the specifications and features, including pricing, a few days ago on its official website. This time, everything is official. So what can we expect from the Philippine-spec Toyota Raize?
First, the 2022 Toyota Raize is available in four different variants, starting from the base 1.2 E M/T, then the 1.2 E CVT, 1.2 G CVT, and 1.0 Turbo CVT. Yes, the Raize is available with two engines too. More on that later.
For the exterior, standard equipment starting from the base 1.2 E M/T and CVT variants are halogen headlights with daytime running lights, halogen fog lights, LED combination taillights, power-adjustable side mirrors with turn indicators, rear spoiler, and 16-inch alloy wheels. Moving up to the 1.2 G CVT gives you LED headlights, LED sequential front turn signals, and auto-folding side mirrors. Going for the top-spec 1.0 Turbo CVT gives you 17-inch alloy wheels and a two-tone paint scheme.
Inside, starting from the E variants, standard features are fabric seats, digital climate controls, 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and 4-speaker audio system. The 1.2 G adds a 7-inch digital TFT instrument cluster, leather-wrapped steering wheel, push button start, automatic climate control, height adjustment for the driver’s seat, reverse camera, and a 6-speaker audio system. Finally, the top-spec 1.0 Turbo CVT gives you fabric and synthetic leather combination seat material, paddle shifters, and a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system.
Like mentioned earlier, the Toyota Raize is available with two engine options. The first option is a 1.2-liter Inline 3-cylinder DOHC engine that produces 87 horsepower and 113 Nm of torque. The top-spec variant, on the other hand, is powered by a 1.0-liter Inline 3-cylinder turbocharged engine. This one makes 97 horsepower and 140 Nm of torque. Both engines are paired to a continuously variable transmission while the base variant can be had with a 5-speed manual transmission.
For safety, the first three variants of the Raize get dual front airbags, anti-lock braking system, vehicle stability control, hill start assist, and rear parking sensors. The top-spec variant adds side and curtain airbags, front parking sensors, blind spot monitoring, and rear cross traffic alert.
So how much will the 2022 Toyota Raize cost? Pricing starts at Php 746,000 for the base 1.2 E M/T. The 1.2 E CVT is priced at Php 816,000 while the 1.2 G CVT is priced at Php 906,000. Finally, the 1.0 Turbo CVT is priced at Php 1,031,000 (addtl. Php 5,000 for White Pearl).
With all that in mind, will you consider this affordable yet feature-packed small crossover? Toyota Motor Philippines surely has another winner in its hands.
