Peugeot 2008 roars into PH, priced at Php 1.55M

Peugeot Philippines is continuing its new car launch streak with the introduction of the all-new 2008 subcompact crossover SUV, its fourth new model introduced after the brand reintroduction earlier this year under its new distributor, Astara.

The new Peugeot 2008 completes our SUV line-up for the Philippines alongside the new Peugeot 5008 and new Peugeot 3008. All three SUVs give Filipinos access to the unmatched experience that our Peugeot global SUVs offer, in three size options that meet the varying needs and lifestyles of our customers,” said Maricar Parco, Brand Head, Peugeot Philippines.

Now available in a single variant option, the all-new Peugeot 2008 wears the brand’s latest design language, made evident by its three-claw signature LED headlights and fang-like LED daytime running lights, frameless front grille, and 3D-claw LED taillights. It also gets 17-inch Black Onyx and Diamond Cut alloy wheels.

Inside, it looks familiar if you know Peugeot’s other models as it has the brand’s i-Cockpit. Among its features are a compact steering wheel, 10-inch digital instrument cluster, 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and leather seating.

Under the hood of the all-new Peugeot 2008 is a 1.2-liter PureTech turbocharged petrol engine that is good for 130 horsepower and 230 Nm of torque. It is paired to a 6-speed automatic transmission with power sent to the front wheels in typical crossover fashion.

The Peugeot 2008 is also equipped with a handful of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems or ADAS. It gets High Beam Assist, Blind Spot Monitoring, Active Lane Keeping Assist, Driver Attention Warning, Active Safety Brake, and Hill Start Assist.

There are four available exterior colors for the 2022 Peugeot 2008. These are Fusion Orange, Pearl White, Amazonite Gray, and Nera Black. Buyers will also be able to take advantage of a 3-year or 100,000 kilometer warranty, whichever comes first. Preventive maintenance service (PMS) will also be done every 10,000 kilometers.

The all-new 2022 Peugeot 2008 has a suggested retail price of Php 1,550,000. Peugeot Philippines will be holding the public launch of the new model tomorrow, April 7, at the Manila International Auto Show (MIAS). It will also remain displayed there and available for test drive along with the rest of the brand’s lineup until April 10, 2022.
