July PH car sales highest for 2026 at 37,319 units
While local automotive sales are down for the first half of 2026, the second half is starting with a month of recovery as July saw the most number of vehicles sold in the Philippines this year so far at 37,319 units, up from the previous month’s 37,231 units, based on the latest joint report by the Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines, Inc. (CAMPI) and Truck Manufacturers Association, Inc. (TMA).
Combined industry sales figures with non-member brands of the two organizations is at approximately 42,880 units. Meanwhile, total sales for the year is now at 241,725 units as of July 2026, still lower than the recorded sales figure from the same period last year.
Despite the still lower figures compared to last year, the outlook is positive, especially with consecutive growth in the past two months. CAMPI President Jose Maria Atienza also said that they are hoping that the positive trend continues for the rest of the year.
Among CAMPI and TMA member brands, Toyota Motor Philippines remains on top, selling 17,797 units in the month of July. Mitsubishi Motors Philippines follows in second with 6,271 units sold, followed by Suzuki Philippines in third with 1,689 units sold. Honda Cars Philippines is in fourth place with 1,256 units sold, and Ford Philippines rounds out the top five with 1,152 units sold.
Electrified vehicles, on their own, continue to enjoy steady growth in sales. So far, the numbers have doubled compared to last year, now at 38,286 units. The month of July 2026 alone saw 7,086 units of electrified vehicles sold, higher than the previous month’s 6,843 units.
Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) sales for January to July 2026 is topped by VinFast Philippines with 3,803 units reportedly sold, while Plug-In Hybrid (PHEV) sales is topped by Jetour Auto Philippines with 2,371 units sold. Hybrid Electric Vehicle (HEV) sales is topped by Toyota Motor Philippines with 12,838 units sold.
