MIAS 2023: All-new Ford Territory enters PH territory starting at Php 1.335M SRP

It’s been nearly three years since Ford Philippines introduced the highly successful Territory compact SUV to the market. Yes, it really has been that long despite feeling as if it was just yesterday. After enjoying that success, they are now ready to create more as they introduce the very much-anticipated 2nd generation Ford Territory, unveiled to the public today at the 2023 Manila International Auto Show.
Essentially the Equator Sport in the Chinese market where it is sourced from, the all-new Territory has been completely redesigned from the ground-up and is now also fully-developed by Ford, despite still being manufactured through their joint venture with Jiangling Motor Corporation (JMC). That means it no longer is a rebadge.
The all-new Ford Territory is available with two variants: Titanium and Titanium X. Gone is the former entry-level Trend variant which saw its discontinuation nearly a year ago.
Looking at its exterior, the Territory gains a completely new look, wearing the blue oval’s latest design language with its split headlight design and sharper looks making it bolder and more aggressive than the model it replaces. It is also much more premium and tech-filled on the interior with its dual screen setup, better materials, and two-tone color scheme.
Standard exterior features on the Titanium are full LED exterior lighting, automatic headlights, 18-inch alloy wheels, power-folding side mirrors with turn indicators, chrome door handles, roof rails, and rear spoiler. The Titanium X gets larger 19-inch alloy wheels and a power tailgate. Meanwhile, exterior color options are Blue Metallic, Ruby Red, Lustrous Gray, Star White, and Panther Black.
As for standard interior features on the Titanium, they are a two-tone Peacock Blue and black interior color scheme, leather seats, 7-inch digital instrument cluster, 12-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, wireless phone charger, leather-wrapped steering wheel, 10-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, a rotary gearshift knob, and an electronic parking brake. The Titanium X gets a light beige and black color scheme, and a panoramic sunroof.
Under the hood of the 2023 Ford Territory it remains powered by the previous generation’s 1.5-liter 4G15 EcoBoost turbo gasoline engine. It does produce higher numbers now at 160 horsepower and 248 Nm of torque, paired to a new 7-speed (wet) dual-clutch transmission.
As for safety, it gets dual front airbags, side airbags, side curtain airbags, anti-lock braking system, hill launch assist, hill descent control, and ISOFIX anchors. It is also equipped with Ford Co-Pilot 360. This gives the Titanium Active Park Assist (automatic parking), Blind-Spot Information System (BLIS) with Rear Cross-Traffic Alert (RCTA), Door opening collision warning system, and a 360-degree around-view monitor. The Titanium X adds Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) with Stop-and-Go, and Lane Keeping Aid with Lane Departure Warning.
Anyway, you must be curious as to how much this costs. The all-new Ford Territory Titanium is priced at Php 1,335,000 while the Titanium X is priced at Php 1,599,000. Buyers will also be able to take advantage of a 5-year vehicle warranty.
