Geely GX3 Pro launched in PH with Php 778K starting price

Geely Philippines, under the distributorship of Sojitz G Auto Philippines Corporation (SGAP), is ending its silence as it officially introduces its latest subcompact crossover offering, the GX3 Pro.
Set to compete directly with the likes of the Toyota Raize and Chery Tiggo 2 Pro, the Geely GX3 Pro is the Chinese automaker’s entry-level budget crossover for the Philippine market, aimed at customers who want higher ground clearance and more practicality, at the price of a small budget sedan.
Like what we saw when it was initially previewed at the 2023 Manila International Auto Show (MIAS) last April, the Geely GX3 Pro is available in two variants which are the 1.5 S M/T and 1.5 Comfort CVT.
In terms of looks, the Geely GX3 Pro already wears the corporate Geely face with its signature front grille with vertical slats. The car itself is a bit larger than the Toyota Raize, measuring at 4,005 mm long, 1,760 mm wide, and 1,560 mm tall. The interior on the other hand follows a similar design with the Emgrand B-segment sedan, looking visibly more premium than its competition.
Standard equipment are halogen projector-type headlights, power side mirrors, LED taillights, 16-inch alloy wheels, 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, 4-speaker audio system, and PVC seats. The Comfort variant adds automatic headlight function, LED daytime running lights, 6-speaker audio system, leather-wrapped steering wheel, and a sunroof.
Powering the Geely GX3 Pro is a 1.5-liter 4G15 Inline 4-cylinder naturally-aspirated gasoline engine with DVVT. It produces 102 horsepower and 142 Nm of torque, paired to either a 5-speed manual transmission or continuously variable transmission (CVT).
In terms of safety, both variants of the Geely GX3 Pro get dual front airbags, anti-lock braking system with electronic brakeforce distribution, brake assist, a reverse camera with dynamic guidelines, rear parking sensors, and low tire pressure warning. The Comfort adds a bit more with traction control, stability control, hill start assist, cruise control, and engine immobilizer.
Pricing for the Geely GX3 Pro starts at Php 778,000 for the 1.5 S M/T. On the other hand, the 1.5 Comfort CVT is priced at Php 878,000. Geely Philippines is currently offering for a lower introductory price with a standard discount of Php 80,000.
