All-new 2024 Toyota Alphard quietly enters PH market for Php 4.980M

3 min read

It’s here! Just two months after it was unveiled to the world, the all-new 2024 Toyota Alphard has been launched, albeit quietly, in the Philippines.

Extremely popular with large companies and individuals looking for a comfortable ride to get around the city and the occasional business and leisure trips outside, the Toyota Alphard nameplate is probably the best-selling luxury minivan in the Philippines. This new version comes around 7 years after the outgoing 3rd generation was first unveiled in 2015.

Going for an evolutionary redesign compared to the outgoing model, the 2024 Toyota Alphard still gets similar styling cues evidently seen on the front fascia and rear design. It does follow the Forceful x IMPACT LUXURY design theme which they say is “an exterior design that exudes power.”

The front is characterized by a large front grille with a cheese grater or waffle pattern (maybe we’re just hungry hehe), flanked by integrated headlights which look sleeker than before. The side profile is still similar but has a Z-shaped beltline allowing for a modern look. The rear on the other hand gets a more sculpted design with a panel containing the LED taillights and license plate wrapping around the width of it.

Standard exterior equipment are 3-bulb LED headlights, LED daytime running lights, cornering lights, LED fog lights, sequential turn signals, 19-inch alloy wheels, automatic power folding side mirrors with heater and memory functions, and dual left and right fixed sunroofs.

Inside, Toyota has definitely upped the game for the 2024 Alphard with more premium finishes and more space. Second row passengers will continue to benefit from business class like seats while front occupants will enjoy the sleeker wraparound dashboard with large screens for the driver’s instrument cluster, as well as the infotainment system.

New here is what Toyota calls the Super-Long Overhead Console in the middle section of the ceiling which houses rear air conditioning vents and their controls, as well as window and lighting controls. Their placement allows it to be easily accessible by any passenger.

Standard interior equipment are leather seats with ventilation and heating functions (1st and 2nd rows only), 2nd row seat massagers, 64-color ambient lighting, paddle shifters, power adjustable steering column, rear sunshades, 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, 14-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, 15-speaker JBL audio system, wireless phone charger, and dual-zone automatic climate control.

Powering the 2024 Toyota Alphard is a new 2.5-liter A25A-FXS Inline 4-cylinder DOHC gasoline engine paired to a nickel metal hydride (Ni-MH) battery and electric motor. This gasoline engine alone produces 188 horsepower and 233 Nm of torque, while the electric motor produces 182 horsepower and 270 Nm of torque. Total combined output is 250 horsepower.

For safety, the 2024 Toyota Alphard gets Toyota Safety Sense (TSS) as standard, giving it pre-collision system, automatic high beams, adaptive high beam system, lane tracing assist, lane departure alert, and dynamic radar (adaptive) cruise control

It also gets the usual set of dual front airbags, side airbags, side curtain airbags, anti-lock braking system, vehicle stability control, hill start assist control, blind spot monitoring 360-degree panoramic view monitor, and ISOFIX childseat tethers.

The 2024 Toyota Alphard’s retail price starts at Php 4,980,000 with a Precious Metal (Gray) exterior color. Platinum White Pearl Mica and Black 3 both come with an additional Php 20,000 premium effectively pricing them at exactly Php 5,000,000.
