PEVS 2023: BYD Atto 3 previewed for PH market

That didn’t take too long! Just a little over two months after relaunching under the distributorship of AC Motors, BYD Philippines is previewing a new family member that will soon be added to its lineup of electric vehicles.

The Chinese EV automaker just showed off at the 11th Philippine Electric Vehicle Summit the BYD Atto 3 compact crossover ahead of its local launch which is set to happen by November 2023.

To power the BYD Atto 3 for the Philippine market is a permanent magnet synchronous electric motor paired with 60.48 kWh lithium ion battery. It produces 204 horsepower and 310 Nm of torque. This allows it to go from 0 to 100 kph in 7.3 seconds and can drive 520 kilometers on a single charge.

Charging is done via a CCS Type 2 plug which makes it compatible with most EV charging stations around the country. The time it takes is 29 minutes using a 150 kW DC charger, or 9 hours and 42 minutes using a 7W wall box charger.

Possible features for the local spec BYD Atto 3 are LED exterior lighting, 18-inch alloy wheels, a panoramic sunroof, and a 12.8-inch rotating touchscreen display.

Pricing is not yet available at this time but it won’t be too long before it launches next month.
