Subaru to reveal WRX STI Sport# at Tokyo Auto Salon 2024

The upcoming 2024 Tokyo Auto Salon may be more focused on aftermarket stuff, but a handful of automotive brands will also be revealing some new concepts, and new performance models. That includes Subaru.
The Japanese automaker will be revealing the WRX STI Sport# prototype which will be based on the Japan-exclusive WRX S4 STI Sport R EX.
The company says that it will be an STI complete car which could mean a couple of upgrades in the powertrain department, as well as other mechanicals. Oh, and also, the # in its name stands for sharp.
It is good to note however that the Subaru WRX STI Sport# is still not a full-blown STI like what the company used to offer. Instead, it is something like a GR Sport (GR-S) model from Toyota. The company has also noted that the WRX STI Sport# is already scheduled for release albeit in a still undisclosed limited number.
Other vehicles that will be showcased by Subaru at the Tokyo Auto Salon 2024 will be the BRZ STI Performance, Levorg Layback STI Performance, BRZ GT300 2023, WRX NBR Challenge 2024 and Team SDA Engineering BRZ CNF Concept.
