Toyota Gazoo Racing’s new liveries look very serious

2 min read

Toyota isn’t a stranger in the world of motorsports with the company competing in various events such as the World Rally Championship (WRC) and Dakar Rally. In our own shores, they’ve been annually organizing what’s now known as the Toyota Gazoo Racing (TGR) Vios Cup for many years.

To show how serious they are, the company has recently unwrapped their latest vehicle liveries for various motorsports activities which look very mean and serious.

Toyota Gazoo Racing (TGR) revealed their new liveries for the GR Yaris Rally1 Hybrid and GR010 Hybrid for the FIA World Rally Championship and FIA World Endurance Challenge, followed not long after by the GR DKR Hilux Evo T1U for the Dakar Rally and FIA World Rally-Raid Championship.

The introduction of this new racing livery marks a departure from the brand’s iconic red and white livery which it has been using for a very long time, including back when it was still participating in the popular Formula One (F1) races. The new livery also matches TGR’s black and red theme.

Toyota says that the new livery is based on three concepts with the first being “Speed” to represent their spirit, and “Hate to lose” and “Prototype” which represents the company’s seriousness in its future in motorsports and building even better cars.

Notable is that the new livery will also be used in other competitions in which Toyota Gazoo Racing participates. Hopefully that includes ones that they organize so that we can see it here on local shores with the Vios Cup.
