Nissan Kicks owners, rejoice! Nissan Philippines, Inc. (NPI) has some good news in the form of an extended battery warranty.

The Japanese automaker announced that the warranty for the high-voltage lithium-ion battery of Nissan Kicks e-POWER units in the Philippines will be extended from just a 5-year 150,000 km warranty to an 8-year or 150,000 km warranty, whichever comes first.

Extending the Nissan Kicks e-POWER’s battery warranty is a testament on how we listen to our customers’ needs and to our commitment towards electrified mobility, showing our confidence in the quality and reliability of our products,” says Juan Manuel Hoyos, Nissan Philippines President.

Owners of all Nissan Kicks e-POWER units in any variant, sold from August 2022 onwards, will be able to take advantage of the extended battery warranty. Likewise, soon to be owners who are planning or are already in the process of purchasing a Nissan Kicks will also be able to enjoy the new benefit.

The Nissan Kicks e-POWER was introduced in the Philippines in August 2022. Since then, it has proven to be a popular choice among those looking for an affordable hybrid crossover. Its e-POWER system is unique in a way that the wheels are exclusively driven by its electric motor, while its internal combustion engine (ICE) charges it instead of through the use of plug-in charging.
