New Tesla Destination Chargers are now operational in Laguna and BGC
Tesla owners in the Philippines…well, in Metro Manila and its surrounding area, now have more options to charge their vehicles as Tesla Philippines announces the opening of two new Destination Chargers, widening the American automaker’s network of chargers in the country.
For those who don’t know, Tesla Destination Chargers offer a cheaper and slower alternative to the brand’s Superchargers. This expansion adds new stations in the province of Laguna, and in Bonifacio Global City (BGC).
The former is the second provincial Tesla charging station and first south of Metro Manila, located at Basement 1 of the Southwoods Mall in Biñan, Laguna. Occupying parking slots 93-96, it can accommodate up to four vehicles at any given time, each with a maximum charging output of up to 10kW.
The latter is located at Basement 1 of the Arthaland Century Pacific Tower in BGC, Taguig City. This can also accommodate up to four vehicles at any given time, occupying parking slots 104-107, each with a maximum charging output of up to 11kW.
Like other Tesla Destination Chargers, the fee for using these two charging stations is Php 16/kWh, slightly more affordable than Tesla Superchargers which cost Php 19/kWh, in addition to being exclusive to Tesla vehicles.
With the growing number of Tesla vehicle owners in the country, Tesla Philippines is continuously expanding its charging network. Right now, locations are concentrated in Metro Manila and immediate surrounding provinces. Hopefully, we can soon start seeing new Tesla charging stations become operational in farther parts of the country.
