PIMS 2026 | Isuzu D-MAX gets yet another update for 2026

Pickup trucks aren’t necessarily the quickest in getting new updates, especially for those aimed at being more workhorse-oriented. Instead of huge changes, these typically get small updates to keep them somewhat fresh as new design trends and technology come to the market.
That is the case as well with the Isuzu D-MAX which has just gotten yet another update, its third since 2021, revealed at the 10th Philippine International Motor Show (PIMS) for the 2026 model year.

The latest slew of changes builds on the major refresh that the midsize pickup truck received in 2024. We won’t blame you if you can’t tell what the changes to the Isuzu D-MAX are at first glance because they aren’t that obvious to those who aren’t familiar with this model, but they are actually quite comprehensive. It’s also good to note that the changes are exclusive to the LS-A Plus 4×2 and LS-E 4×2 and 4×4 variants.
The front fascia, while retaining its general appearance, gets a redesigned front grille with a three-bar design and sharper lines, along with redesigned fog light housings, also with a sharper design. The headlights now get darker accents, the 18-inch wheels have been updated with a more elegant design, the running boards have been slightly redesigned, and the taillights now get clear lenses.

Inside, the LS-E 4×4 variant gets a new leather seat pattern and blue ambient lighting, while the LS-A Plus gets a new fabric seat pattern and push button start. Both variants get a simplified user interface for the 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system, also featuring new light or dark theme options, a quick access tab similar to smartphones, and an updated 360-degree camera which now comes with a new underbody view.

Mechanically, LT 4×4, LS-A Plus, and LS-E variants of the Isuzu D-MAX still retains its tried-and-tested 3.0-liter four-cylinder turbodiesel (4JJ3-TCX), making 190 horsepower and 450Nm of torque, mated to a six-speed manual transmission (LT 4×4) or six-speed automatic transmission.
Meanwhile, the Single Cab and LT 4×2 variants retain their 1.9-liter turbodiesel engine (RZ4E) that makes 150 horsepower and 350Nm of torque, mated to a six-speed manual transmission.
If you already want to see the updated Isuzu D-MAX in the metal, you can check it out at the 10th Philippine International Motor Show, happening until June 7, 2026 (Sunday) at the World Trade Center Metro Manila in Pasay City.
