Tesla owners in PH can only buy the Full Self-Driving feature until June 30

While not available for use in the Philippines, the Full Self-Driving (FSD) Capability feature of Tesla is one of the most sought-after equipment of the American automaker’s lineup.
In case you’re unaware, the FSD Capability allows Tesla vehicles to accelerate, brake, navigate, make any needed turns, follow traffic signals, change lanes, and do overtakes, among others, all on its own. This makes for an autonomous drive, albeit with the vehicle’s cabin camera monitoring to make sure you remain attentive to the road.
However, changes are coming to the way how current and future Tesla owners will be able to get FSD capability on their vehicle here in the Philippines. Tesla Philippines will stop offering the one-time purchase option of this feature to customers, moving to a monthly subscription model.
Starting this coming June 30, 2026, people interested in availing FSD Capability for their Tesla vehicle will need to subscribe every month. For those who already purchased (or will purchase) FSD Capability prior to June 30, there will be no need to subscribe.

The pricing for monthly subscription has not yet been announced, but in other markets like the United States, it costs USD 99 per month or approximately Php 6,000 a month. Right now, the outright one-time purchase option costs Php 394,000, unfortunately without the feature available for use yet.
We don’t know when Tesla Philippines will be offering the use of FSD in our market, and the move to a subscription-based model also does not necessarily mean that it will already be available for use upon implementation.
Do you think the outright one-time purchase is better than the upcoming monthly subscription model?
