The BYD Great Han is the follow-up to the, er, Han flagship sedan EV

While all the action with BYD is around their higher-end models in Denza and Yangwang, and lower-end models like the Atto 2 and the updated Dolphin, BYD’s own Dynasty series is seeing some updates as well.

Starting with the all-new Atto 3 (the Yuan Plus) and the Great Tang, which were both shown off at this year’s Auto China, this is now followed up by the upcoming Great Han, the automaker’s flagship full-size sedan and follow-up to the long-running Han EV, which has been on the market since 2020 and is one of BYD Cars Philippines’ offerings in our market.
These official photos were shared by the General Manager of BYD’s Dynasty Network Sales Division, Lu Tian, on Webio, and they showcase a camouflaged sedan that looks very similar to the Han, just a lot sleeker, with a LiDAR hump, and the number “9” written on it, as this could also be called the Han 9 or the Da Han in China.

The Great Han will be featuring the second-generation Blade Battery, meaning that it will feature all the new features promised by the new platform and battery tech, such as the megawatt Flash Charging that can bring a battery from 10 to 70% in five minutes.

Just like its predecessor, it will be available in either plug-in hybrid or full battery electric variants, with range supposedly hitting 1,000km. More information will be available closer to the vehicle’s official launch, but do you think that we should see the Great Han in our market to replace the aging Han EV?
