Toyota, the brand crafted by heritage and community

Toyota is a brand with a history that spans over eight decades, founded by Kiichiro Toyoda in 1937. Today, it has grown to become a part of the daily lives of millions and millions of people around the globe. That is also true here in the Philippines where it continues to help shape the local automotive industry.

The brand prides itself from years of heritage and legacy, with models such as the legendary Land Cruiser and Hilux which are among the company’s longest running nameplates, having first seen the world in 1951 and 1968, respectively, and continue to be produced today.

Both recently received some major upgrades that are built from decades of experience in making cars that truly resonate with people, and ones that help influence the future of mobility that is centered on the needs and wants of a diverse global market.

Built on Heritage and Legacy

The Toyota Land Cruiser FJ is the newest member of the Land Cruiser family, joining the Land Cruiser and Land Cruiser Prado in the Philippines just this year. It’s a vehicle designed for enthusiasts and adventure seekers, bringing abundant customization potential and capability that every Land Cruiser has been known for to the forefront, while maintaining easy driveability for everyday usage.

The all-new Toyota Hilux brings refinements to the country’s number one-selling pickup truck, now available in 2.8-liter turbodiesel and battery electric vehicle (BEV) flavors, with the latter bringing it into a new era of electrification. It builds on top of an already proven nine-generation history from 1968, and now wears the “Cyber Sumo” aesthetic, which combines toughness with sharp and sophisticated styling.

And last but not least, the Toyota Land Cruiser HEV brings electrification into the brand’s flagship SUV, combining the smoothness of a turbocharged V6 engine and the power of an electric motor from its hybrid system.

Community For All

More than just products, old and new, the key to the success of any automotive brand is something more than just its cars — the community

Multiple Toyota car clubs, from sedans to SUVs, continue to show their love for the Toyota brand. Each member has different Toyota stories that made them earn the trust of the brand, celebrating decades of memories, milestones, and shared passion for Toyota, that’s also guaranteed to produce long-lasting friendships and camaraderie, and offer support to and for each other.

Both Toyota’s heritage and community were highlighted at the recent Toyota Legacy Experience, where the all-new Toyota Land Cruiser FJ, new Toyota Land Cruiser HEV, and all-new Toyota Hilux were showcased. Here, different car clubs also came together for a weekend celebrating heritage and legacy of the brand they all have come to love.

The Toyota Choice speaks for itself

Seeing how far each Toyota product has evolved, and seeing how the community comes together for a fun-filled weekend, it’s easy to see how people continue to choose a brand that has proven itself throughout the years. Cars are not mere appliances — they’re investments. With this in mind, it is important that you put a lot of trust in your choice.

For decades, Toyota has been a trusted brand with proven quality and value from decades of experience, able to provide an easy and effortless ownership experience thanks to interconnected systems in sales and aftersales, and has been making innovations that are designed with the customer in mind, always.

With more than three decades of providing mobility for all Filipinos, Toyota ticks all the right boxes with a wide range of vehicles, from new nameplates to ones that have been around for decades, and one that puts its community first with safety and sustainability.
