What you can expect from the 2026 TGR PH Cup Race Weekend 2

After a brief suspension, it’s green and go for the 2026 Toyota Gazoo Racing (TGR) Philippine Cup as it resumes this coming July 10-12, 2026 (Friday to Sunday) at the Clark International Speedway (CIS) in Clark, Pampanga.
The second race weekend for this year’s edition of one of the country’s largest motorsports events, it will be bringing once again the Toyota Tamaraw and Toyota Vios One-Make Race (OMR) Cars to the track once again, following the first race weekend which was held in Riverpark, Cavite last March.
But more than just the action and activities for the public, this race weekend will also be a “rolling laboratory,” as TGR puts it. The Tamaraw OMR and Vios OMR cars will be utilizing low-carbon biofuels. This will make the extreme racing conditions serve as a test platform for the usage benefits of 5% coco-biodiesel blend (B5) and 20% bio-ethanol blend (E20) fuels, offering a unique opportunity to push vehicles to their limits without wasting precious fossil fuels.
Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) also says that three-quarters of Toyota and Lexus gas models are already E20 compatible, while all of Toyota diesel models are B5 compatible, demonstrating their strong commitment to fuel flexibility.
“Motorsports has always been a testbed for progress, and this season, TGR Philippines will take a step forward by actively exploring alternative fuels in competitive racing conditions. Testing biofuels in motorsports allows us to evaluate performance, efficiency and reliability in high-demand environments, so this will be a pivotal moment for the wider adoption of low-carbon biofuels in the Philippines,” said TMP First Vice President for Vehicle Sales Operations Elijah Marcial.
“As a company committed to reducing carbon emissions, we recognize that every activity must contribute meaningfully to a more sustainable future. Alternative fuels help reduce dependency on non-renewables like petroleum, so using biofuel for our motorsports events aligns with our multi-pathway approach, which includes diversifying our energy sources to contribute to our broader goal of carbon neutrality,” said TMP Vice President for Government and Industry Affairs Elvin Luciano.
The TGR Philippine Cup Race Weekend 2 will continue to be open to the public with free admission.
