You can find over 160 EV charging stations at SM malls nationwide
With the Holy Week here, it’s no surprise that the charging infrastructure is one of the most important things to take note of where you’ll be going, more especially if you have a plug-in hybrid or electric vehicle.
SM Supermalls is one of these providers, with over 160 charging points available across 73 SM locations nationwide. The majority of these chargers are 7.4kW Type 2 AC chargers, with a single 80kW DC fast charger found in SM City Bataan with both CCS2 Type 2 and GBT standards.
These are free to use (parking fees included, of course), are open during the mall’s operating hours, and each branch is accredited by the Department of Energy for safety. Should you find one, it’s easy for you to get around with minimal range anxiety, assuming they’re not already occupied by Sealion 6 owners.
