Clark Loop Bus returns to service on September 17
Good news for regular commuters and visitors going to the Clark Freeport Zone in Pampanga!
Traveling via public transportation to and from, and within the freeport is set to become easier as the Clark Loop Bus is slated to make a comeback this coming September 17.
Those who frequent the area will know that public transportation is not its strong suit. While its road network is pretty good, there are limited options for commuters and visitors. This makes for more congestion as private vehicle use is increased, especially during the afternoon rush hour.
As of this writing, the Clark Development Corporation (CDC) has not yet announced the bus routes, stops, and operation schedule for the Clark Loop. Prior to its suspension during the COVID-19 pandemic, the bus operated routes from Angeles City all the way to New Clark City and the Clark International Airport, akin to a bus rapid transit system or BRT.
What we do know is that the Clark Loop will already and will only be accepting cashless fare payments through the use of Beep cards, just like in Metro Manila’s mass rapid transit railway systems.
Commuters are being reminded to purchase their Beep cards at the SM City Clark’s main entrance, or at the Clark International Airport’s departure area starting September 17.
We’ll definitely keep you posted on bus stops and schedules which should be available in the coming days.
