SLEX, STAR Tollway fees to increase anew on July 1, 2026

Last week, we posted on our Facebook page that motorists who frequent the South Luzon Expressway (SLEX) will need to expect higher toll fees as its operator, SMC Infrastructure, will be implementing yet another increase in toll fees on July 1, 2026 (Wednesday), based on an announcement posted on the expressway’s toll plazas.
No other information was provided, and the website that supposedly holds that information (according to the poster) did not exist. Well, the Toll Regulatory Board (TRB) has made it official, and we now have the details.
The increase in toll rates is part of the Periodic Toll Rate Adjustment of the SMC SLEX, Inc. and the Manila Toll Expressway Systems, Inc. (MATES), and Star Infrastructure Development Corporation (SIDC). Now the second tranche, the first was implemented last January 01, 2026.

With this new increase, the toll rates on SLEX would now be as follows:
Alabang to Calamba
- CLASS 1 – Php 137.00 (+Php 11.00)
- CLASS 2 – Php 274.00 (+Php 21.00)
- CLASS 3 – Php 411.00 (+Php 32.00)
Calamba to Sto. Tomas
- CLASS 1 – Php 37.00 (+Php 3.00)
- CLASS 2 – Php 74.00 (+Php 6.00)
- CLASS 3 – Php 111.00 (+Php 9.00)
Motorists traversing the entire Alabang to Sto. Tomas (end to end) section of SLEX will expect to pay an additional Php 14.00 for Class 1 vehicles, Php 27.00 for Class 2 vehicles, and Php 41.00 for Class 3 vehicles.

Meanwhile, for users of the STAR Tollway can expect the following new toll rates:
Sto. Tomas to Lipa (Section 1)
- CLASS 1 – Php 64.00 (+Php 4.00)
- CLASS 2 – Php 128.00 (+Php 9.00)
- CLASS 3 – Php 192.00 (+Php 13.00
Lipa to Batangas City (Section 2)
- CLASS 1 – Php 57.00 (+Php 4.00)
- CLASS 2 – Php 114.00 (+Php 8.00)
- CLASS 3 – Php 171.00 (+Php 12.00)
Sto. Tomas to Batangas City (End to End)
- CLASS 1 – Php 121.00 (+Php 8.00)
- CLASS 2 – Php 242.00 (+Php 17.00)
- CLASS 3 – Php 363.00 (+Php 26.00)
According to TRB, the increase in toll fees will ensure the continued operations, maintenance, and improvements of the SLEX and STAR Tollway, along with safer and more convenient travel experiences.
Despite that, widening works on SLEX remain unfinished, with uneven pavement and lack of lane markings on new sections, while hundreds of motorists have reported damage to their vehicles caused by leftover debris from road construction.
