Team MSCC Mazda Miata Spec has a successful start at 2025 Makabayan Endurance Challenge

Things are going well for the Team MSCC Mazda Miata Spec which had a good start at the 2025 Makabayan Endurance Challenge, held at the Batangas Racing Circuit last April 12-13, 2025.
The racing team, composed of drivers Angie King, Milo Rivera, and Juha Turalba, used the MSCC Miata Endurance #55 which is a mechanically modified Mazda MX-5. The team came out on top of both 2-Hour and 4-Hour Race Challenge categories, even breaking records in both the number of laps completed and fastest lap times during the first leg of the three-round endurance challenge.
63 laps were completed in the 2-Hour Race with a fastest lap time of 1:04.98. Meanwhile, in the 4-Hour Race, they managed 120 laps with a fastest time of 1:05.37.

Modified and driven under the supervision of King, the race car still sports a stock 2.0-liter Skyactiv-G engine with other modifications such as an ultra-lightweight carbon fiber body, along with Brembo front brakes, Cusco coilovers and suspension parts, a HGT six-speed sequential gearbox, a new rear differential, and performance tires. Thanks to the sequential gearbox, lap times were reduced by up to 4.5 seconds.
With this initial success, Team MSCC Miata Spec is gearing up for the next legs of the 2025 Makabayan Endurance Challenge which will happen on June 14-15 and November 29-30, 2025, both at the Clark International Speedway in Pampanga.
