The Toyota Gazoo Racing PH eSports GT Championship 2025 takes up the mantle of the TGR GT Cup PH

Last year, Toyota Gazoo Racing Philippines held the GT Cup Philippines 2024 at SM Mall of Asia to find out who would be the fastest racer to represent the country in the GT Cup Asia that was held last September 30, 2024, in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

However, an announcement earlier this year from Toyota Gazoo Racing’s e-Motorsports division said that the GT Cup would no longer continue this year, but Toyota Gazoo Racing Philippines thinks otherwise, as it will continue the tradition with the newly minted Toyota Gazoo Racing Philippines eSports GT Championship 2025.

It still utilizes the same game, so those who own a copy of Gran Turismo 7 are still eligible to join the competition. This series is open to those aged 14 and up, with minors required to submit parental consent, and you must register here at this link.

The qualifiers are ongoing right now, from August 9 to September 14, 2025. This is a time attack where you must set your best time within seven laps, and the Top 40 will advance to the quarter finals.

Those who attended last weekend’s event had the chance to set times to qualify in person, but also, it will also be available online and at select GR dealerships nationwide.

The Quarter Finals, Semi-finals, and National Finals, on the other hand, will be held on October 11 to 12, 2025, at Ayala Malls Manila Bay.

October 11 will hold the quarter finals, where a three-race heat format will happen. The 40 drivers will be divided into 10 groups, and there will be a points system to determine who will be the Top 20 drivers who will then advance to the semi-finals.

October 12 is when both the semi and national finals will be held. It will be the same three-race heat format, with 10 drivers going head to head, divided into two groups, with a points system. And the national finals will determine who the Top 3 are to advance to the Asia Finals, which will be announced in the coming days.
