Suzuki PH upgrades its Pre-Delivery Inspection Facility

Suzuki Philippines is finding ways to improve the quality of its vehicles that reach its customers by further expanding and upgrading its Pre-Delivery Inspection Facility located within its plant in Laguna, allowing it to meet the growing market demand for its vehicles while staying close to the company’s global standards.

The facility’s expansions and upgrades were completed last December 2025. The upgrades include adding over 36,000sq-m of concrete to the CBU stockyard, an additional three-lane PDI facility with standardized lighting and inspection pits with upcoming occupancy sensors to allow for safer and more thorough underbody inspection measures.

There are also two new accessory installation lanes, a Body Repair and Painting and Technical Repair Facility, three accessory warehouses, and a centralized office to improve coordination between these facilities. Further upgrades planned down the line include a Suzuki-standard paint booth, portable fueling equipment, bird deterrent systems, and solar power installations for the future.

Eventually, this facility will be handling electric vehicles, which hints at the Suzuki e Vitara, which could be coming to the Philippines real soon, as its Toyota sibling, the Urban Cruiser, is already being sold in our market.

The facility receives regular audits from the Suzuki Motor Corporation in Japan and its global subsidiaries to make sure it complies with international standards, and there have been personnel training and employee welfare programs to keep output high quality.

As for customers, this minimizes post-delivery issues, meaning that the cars will be safer and in better condition, and processing times, inventory flow, and vehicle allocation will be improved for the dealership side.
