VinFast wants to dominate the local MPV segment with the VF MPV 7

The VinFast brand has seen tremendous growth in the Philippines. This year, it’s the best-selling battery electric vehicle (BEV) brand so far with 1,171 units sold, based on available public information. We also don’t know if that includes fleet sales for the Green GSM taxi service, but yes, the numbers are something.
The Vietnamese automaker will definitely want to sustain its momentum, and it’s starting that with the introduction of the VF MP7, essentially a fancied-up version of the fleet- and service-oriented Limo Green.

Available in one variant, the VinFast VF MPV 7 measures largely the same as the Limo Green with a length of 4,740mm, and a width of 1,872mm. It’s only slightly taller at a height of 1,734mm. This puts it right in the middle of popular MPV offerings on the market, such as the Mitsubishi Xpander, Toyota Innova, and the all-electric BYD eMax 7.

It shares the same basic overall design as the Limo Green, too, but with the LED daytime running lights extending into the VinFast logo in front, similar to other VinFast models. Instead of 18-inch steel wheels with hubcaps, the VF MPV 7 rides on larger 19-inch alloy wheels.
available exterior colors are Infinity Blanc (White), Zenith Gray, Moonlit Ocean (Blue), and Jet Black. These are matched to a two-tone black and brown interior color scheme.

Inside, the VF MPV 7 is also largely the same with a minimalist dashboard that features a 10.1-inch central touchscreen infotainment system that houses most vehicle functions. It does get a lot of additional equipment, such as a leather-wrapped steering wheel that also gets audio and cruise controls, a column-mounted gear selector, faux leather seat upholstery, and automatic climate control, among others.

As for its electric powertrain, that remains the same with a single electric motor that produces 204 horsepower and 280Nm of torque. It features Eco and Normal drive modes like the Limo Green, but gets the addition of a Sport mode.
The motor is paired to a 60.13kWh LFP battery that allows it to drive for up to 450km on a single full charge, and it takes approximately 30 minutes to replenish the battery from 10 to 70% through 80kW DC charging.

The VinFast VF MPV 7 is priced at Php 1,239,000 with the brand’s battery subscription service, or Php 1,518,000 without. Customer deliveries will begin this coming June 2026, and interested customers may already place orders. Buyers will also be able to take advantage of a seven-year vehicle warranty, 10-year battery warranty, and the brand’s Residual Value Guarantee (RVG) program.
With fully electric MPVs still not making a mark on the local market, VinFast Philippines is probably aiming to make that change with its introduction of the VF MPV 7. Do you think this has the capability to steal sales from popular ICE rivals and its lone fully electric competitor?
