A to Z: What to expect from each brand at PIMS 2026

The 10th Philippine International Motor Show (PIMS) is upon us, happening this coming June 4 to 7, 2026. While it may not be as large as the rivaling Manila International Auto Show (MIAS), only targeting a modest 50,000 guests versus the MIAS’s 180,000+, a lot are still looking forward to it.

Organized by the Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines, Inc. (CAMPI), the four-day motor show will be held (as usual) at the World Trade Center Metro Manila (WTCMM) in Pasay City, and will have 17 participating brands.

Being the motor show’s 10th edition, it’s expected to be its largest with over 150 vehicle models to be showcased, of course, including new model launches and previews for our market. You’re probably wondering what’s in store for each participating brand, so we’ve compiled a list of what we can expect. Check them out below:

Geely

Geely Philippines recently showed off the EX2 electric city hatchback at last week’s Auto Focus Multibrand Test Drive Festival, but it was a public preview ahead of its official launch. The automaker has not posted any teasers or materials for the vehicle’s full introduction and prices, so signs are pointing to having PIMS 2026 as its official market launch, unless the automaker decides to launch the vehicle before.

Kia

Kia Philippines, under ACMobility, will not be launching or previewing any new models at the upcoming 10th Philippine International Motor Show, but it will be holding a leg of The Kia Movement, its nationwide roadshow.

We can expect to see the Korean automaker’s electrified lineup composed of the Carnival and Sorento turbo-hybrids, the fully electric EV5, which was launched at the Manila International Auto Show, and its flagship EV9 electric full-size SUV.

Mitsubishi

Mitsubishi Motors Philippines has not yet announced what it will be showing off at the PIMS 2026, but the recent listing of the Outlander PHEV with the Department of Energy (DOE) tells us that the Japanese automaker may finally be launching the plug-in hybrid crossover in our market after years of repeated previews.

Nissan

Nissan Philippines dropped a bombshell a few days ago with the announcement on its social media pages that it will be showing off the Frontier Pro, heavily facelifted Kicks e-Power, Primera, and X-Trail. While we still don’t have specifics for each model, you can read more about them here

Omoda and Jaecoo

Omoda and Jaecoo Philippines, particularly the Jaecoo brand, are off to a good start to the year. The Chinese automaker is expected to launch the fully electric version of the Jaecoo J5 at the Philippine International Motor Show, already teased on its social media pages, and as a follow-up to the introduction of the Jaecoo J5 Hybrid at the Manila International Auto Show.

Subaru

Subaru Philippines, under its distributor, Motor Image Pilipinas, has not announced its plans for the PIMS 2026, but a source tells us that the Japanese automaker will be launching the Crosstrek Hybrid. No information is available yet for this variant locally, but we can expect it to feature a smaller 2.0-liter engine with an electric motor and battery, compared to the Forester Hybrid.

Suzuki

If Toyota has the Urban Cruiser, Suzuki Philippines has the e Vitara. While its actual launch date is still unknown, we have the right to assume that the fully electric subcompact crossover will finally make its local debut at the Philippine International Motor Show, especially considering that initial local specifications have been available on the Japanese automaker’s website for a few months now.

Tesla

Tesla Philippines does not seem to have any new models to launch based on what’s currently offered in our neighboring markets. With that, it’s expected to show off the Model 3, its top-selling Model Y, and recently launched Model Y L, with the latter two showing fairly strong demand in our market.

Toyota

Toyota Motor Philippines is going big for this year’s Philippine International Motor Show. Based on available information from multiple sources, such as government documents and fellow automotive publications, we are expecting to see a couple of electrified and non-electrified products make their local debut.

These are the new-generation Hilux in all-electric form, the Land Cruiser 300 HEV, and the much-awaited Land Cruiser FJ, which were all already confirmed for our market early this year. While the three models’ appearance at the PIMS is not yet fully confirmed, we do have our fingers crossed.

VinFast

VinFast Philippines has announced that it will be showcasing the newly launched VF MPV 7 fully electric MPV, at the 10th Philippine International Motor Show. It could also be shown to the public alongside the brand’s lineup of electric scooters, which are being tested by local motoring media in Vietnam (at the time of this writing), and the brand’s other fully electric offerings, such as the VF 3, VF 5, VF 6, VF 7, and VF 9.

Obviously, this list is still incomplete, with some automakers not yet making official announcements or showing hints of what they’ll be showing off. The list will be updated accordingly once more information becomes available to us.

For now, are you excited for the 10th Philippine International Motor Show? We’ll definitely be seeing you there!
