PIMS 2026 | MG brings in three new electrified vehicles to PH
MG Motors Philippines had a loud presence at the 20th Manila International Auto Show (MIAS), bringing in a strong contender in the local MPV segment in the form of the G50 PHEV, along with a big refresh for its MG 5 subcompact sedan offering.
The Sino-British automaker is not showing signs of slowing down as it brings in even more new products at the 10th Philippine International Motor Show (PIMS)–not one, not two, but three. Say hello to the all-new MG 4, the MG RX9 PHEV, and the MG HS PHEV.

Starting with the MG 4. The brand’s fully electric hatchback offering gets an all-new version, initially revealed last year. Coming in a single Urban variant priced at Php 1,198,888, it’s powered by a single front-mounted electric motor that produces 163 horsepower and 250Nm of torque, paired to a 42.8kWh LFP battery that allows for 325km of driving range on a single charge.
Design-wise, the all-new MG 4 wears more subdued styling compared to the outgoing version’s sharp looks. This new one takes some cues from the Cyberster with its soft and curvy lines on the outside, matched with a more minimalistic interior design.

Equipment includes 16-inch alloy wheels with aero covers, LED exterior lighting, a seven-inch TFT display for the driver, a 12.8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and synthetic leather seat upholstery.

MG Motor Philippines is also finally entering the three-row midsize SUV segment, just not yet with the D90 it previewed back in 2025, but with the MG RX9 PHEV, competing with the likes of the BYD Tang DM-i and Chery Tiggo rEV LE, and priced at Php 1,998,888.

Powering this midsize SUV is a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine that produces 143 horsepower and 230Nm of torque, paired to an electric motor that produces 239 horsepower and 390Nm. Combined power output 328 horsepower, sent to the front wheels by a dedicated hybrid transmission (DHT). A 24.7kWh LFP battery allows for up to 100km of all-electric range.

Standard equipment are LED exterior lighting, 20-inch alloy wheels, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 12-speaker Bose sound system, and second-row captain seats. It’s also equipped with the MG Pilot suite of advanced driver-assist systems (ADAS) which includes adaptive cruise control, autonomous emergency braking, and lane change assist, among others.

Making a return to the Philippine International Motor Show is the MG HS PHEV which was first previewed at the 2024 edition of the motor show. This time, it finally launches, complementing the hybrid variant which already made its local debut last year, and is priced at Php 1,548,888.
Just like the HS Hybrid, the HS PHEV is powered by a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine making 143 horsepower and 230Nm of torque. For the PHEV, this is paired to a more powerful electric motor producing 184 horsepower and 340Nm, as well as a larger 21.6kWh LFP battery that allows for 100km of full EV driving.
Standard equipment remains similar to the HS Hybrid, having 19-inch alloy wheels, LED exterior lighting, dual 12.3-inch screens for the driver’s instrument cluster and infotainment system, along with leather seat upholstery and the MG Pilot suite of advanced driver-assist systems (ADAS).

What do you think of this trio of new electrified models from MG Motor Philippines? If you already want to see them in the metal, you can check them out at the 10th Philippine International Motor Show, happening until June 7, 2026 (Sunday) at the World Trade Center Metro Manila in Pasay City.
