The Ford Territory takes the spot of the best-selling hybrid SUV for 2026 so far

When the sentence “best-selling hybrid SUVs in the Philippines” is muttered, some people might think that it would be the ubiquitous BYD Sealion 6 DM-i. However, it isn’t as according to data from the Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines, Inc. (CAMPI), the honor belongs to the Ford Territory Hybrid.
The small utility crossover from Ford managed to sell 2,226 units in the past five months of the year, as per official CAMPI data. In fact, since its launch back in August 2025, the Territory Hybrid managed to cross the 1,000-unit sales milestone in just over three months, and finished 2025 with 1,645 units sold.
The Territory Hybrid carries over the crowd favorite formula of the SUV’s styling and practical and spacious interior, but this time adds a hybrid powertrain that mates a 1.5-liter four-cylinder gasoline engine to a two-speed Dedicated Hybrid Transmission with an electric motor and a 1.83kWh battery. This series-parallel hybrid powertrain is a self-charging system, and it has a max engine power of 150 horsepower and 230Nm of torque, alongside a maximum electric power of 218 horsepower and 315Nm of torque.

“The remarkable sales performance of the Ford Territory Hybrid is a clear testament to how deeply this nameplate resonates with Filipino customers who are ready to embrace electrified mobility. To see the Territory Hybrid emerge as the best-selling small utility hybrid vehicle in the market in such a short period of time is both incredibly rewarding and a powerful validation of our electrification strategy. We thank our dealers for their strong partnership and our customers for their incredible support,” shares the managing director of Ford Philippines Pedro Simoes.
