Could this be the new, longer, and more aggressive BYD Seagull?

It seems that BYD is now making the moves to update most, if not all, of its lineup in China and around the rest of the world. We’ve seen the BYD Dolphin G DM-i, which is an updated version of its small electric hatchback, now with a DM-i powertrain.
However, we could be looking at an incoming update to the BYD Seagull, thanks to homologation documents from the Chinese Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT).
The biggest change apart from the new, more aggressive looks is the stretched dimensions, which now size up at 4,205mm long (+425mm), 1,810mm wide (+95mm), and 1,570mm tall (+30mm), with a wheelbase that’s 2,650mm (+150mm), and bigger than the current Dolphin (L: 4,125mm, W: 1,770mm, H: 1,570mm, WB: 2,700mm)

This also supposedly has a new electric motor that’s capable of 127 horsepower and a new top speed of 150kph, versus the 75 horsepower and 135Nm of torque of the current Seagull. The battery should remain the same as the previous update, which sees its capacity increased to 38.88kWh.

For now, there are only a few external photos and specs of the updated Seagull, but it should have 16-inch wheels, the DiPilot 300 (God’s Eye B) advanced driver assistance system, and other features that were first seen on the recent update. As soon as more information becomes available, we’ll surely have more news about it for you.
