GAC launches a trio of new ICE, HEV, and PHEV MPVs in PH

In a bid to re-grow its presence in our market, GAC Philippines continues to expand and update its lineup with the introduction of new and updated MPVs in our market, as we move on through the first few weeks of the second half of 2026.

Already seen by the public at the 20th Manila International Auto Show (MIAS) last April, the refreshed GAC GN6 and GN8, the latter now a plug-in hybrid (PHEV), and the new GAC E8 HEV, are now officially available in the Philippines.

Taking back its original name from its first local debut back in 2021, the GAC GN6 gets another set of updates. Now priced at Php 1,298,000 (Php 1,198,000 introductory price), still competes with the likes of the Toyota Innova and Toyota Zenix, and MG G50, the GN6 gets a refreshed exterior and interior, and continues to be offered with a seven-seat capacity and a turbocharged gasoline engine under the hood.

Those looking for something larger and electrified can check out the new GAC E8 HEV. This is available in two variants, the GL and GX, with retail prices of Php 1,858,000 (Php 1,778,000 introductory price) and Php 1,998,000 (Php 1,918,000 introductory price), respectively. This will also compete with the Toyota Zenix and MG G50 with a seven-seat capacity, and is powered by a 2.0-liter gasoline engine paired to an electric motor and LFP battery. GAC Philippines says it should be able to drive more than 1,000km on a single full tank of gas.

Last but not the least is the GAC GN8 PHEV which returns to using the nameplate last used in the previous generation model. The brand’s flagship offering in our market, it will compete directly with the popular Toyota Alphard and BYD eMax 9 DM-i, and it’s now available as a plug-in hybrid (PHEV) and should be capable of driving up to 120km on pure electric power, or up to 1,038km on a single full charge and full tank of gas. This is priced at Php 3,488,000 (Php 3,338,000 introductory price).
