Lexus PH quietly refreshes RZ lineup starting at Php 4.438M for RZ 350e Core

One of Lexus Philippines’ first battery-electric vehicles (and by extension, Toyota Motor Philippines) that debuted in the country was the RZ, launching back in 2023 in a single RZ 450e variant.

This featured a dual-motor powertrain and a 71.4kWh lithium-ion battery, allowing it to go up to 470km on a single charge. More importantly, it was priced at Php 4.828-million, which was eventually complemented by a more affordable, single-motor RZ 300e at Php 4.348-million.

Earlier this year, we caught wind that Lexus Philippines would be updating the entire RZ lineup with three new variants, and sure enough, the updated lineup has quietly launched, making its debut on Lexus Philippines’ website.

Now, it comes in two variants—the RZ 350e Core that’s priced at Php 4.438-million and the RZ 500e Luxury that’s Php 5.428-million.

Changes to these vehicles include an improvement to the eAxle all-in-one electric motor package, updated chassis control technology, improved insulation, and an upgraded 77kWh lithium-ion battery pack (74.69kWh usable) with water cooling that allows for improved range of up to 575km (for the 350e) and charging times, alongside an on-board 22kW AC charger.

The front-wheel-drive 350e Core has a total system output of 227 horsepower and 268Nm, while the dual-motor 500e Luxury ups the total system output to 380 horsepower and 268Nm (per motor).

The 350e Core’s base equipment starts out with synthetic leather seat upholstery, Tsuyasumi charcoal woodgrain trim, ventilated and heated seats, ambient lighting, acoustic glass, and a wireless charger. The 500e Luxury gets additional, er, luxuries in the form of Ultrasuede upholstery, a color heads-up display, a dimming panoramic glass roof, and the Mark Levinson sound system.

With these changes, do you think the updated Lexus RZ is more competitive in today’s lineup, especially going up against newer, better-equipped luxury battery electric vehicles both from Europe and China?
