Meet the most powerful production Lambo yet: The Lamborghini Revuelto SV

The Lamborghini Revuelto is Lamborghini’s flagship supercar, having been launched in 2023 as the brand’s first true hybrid vehicle (barring the Sián FKP 37 and the Countach LPI 800-4 mild hybrids). It was a daunting move by the Raging Bull, as people feared slapping on electrification to a V12 would soften the traditionally known flashy and manic supercars they create.

Time has been kind to the Revuelto, and so have been the reviews of the motoring media globally. Fast forward to today, and now Lamborghini has come out with the Revuelto SV, upping the ante even more. SV stands for Super Veloce, a lineage that started with the Miura SV 55 years ago.

As expected from Lamborghini, the SV treatment gives the Revuelto an even more striking look vs the regular Revuelto, with a smothering of black accents and exposed carbon fiber all around the car, paired with a big SV logo found on the rear fenders.

The interior was definitely not left behind, with the carbon fiber and weight reduction treatment being applied here as well. A carbon shell structure comes as standard to the Revuelto SV, and the customer is now given a choice between 12 different selections of contrasting leather colors.

The Revuelto SV takes the hybrid V12 game (twice as many cylinders as the Prancing Horse, by the way) further to 1,050 horsepower from 1,001 horsepower on the non-SV, and 1,425Nm total system torque, making the Revuelto SV the most powerful production Lamborghini yet. This equates to a century sprint done and dusted in 2.4 seconds, and the 200kph mark being passed in just 6.7 seconds, while the top speed is likewise reported to exceed 345kph.

All the performance gains given to the powertrain are complemented by enhanced aerodynamics all around the vehicle. Tweaks to the front bumper and underbody were made to improve airflow, and the rear wing is now fixed for a more track-optimized configuration. Brake cooling has likewise been reported to improve by 12 percent, which will greatly benefit the new CCM-R Plus carbon ceramic brakes

Suspension on the Revuelto SV is all new as well, with manually adjustable dampers derived from their GT3 racing department, resulting in improvements of 17% in agility and 10% in lateral grip. Wheels further set apart the Revuelto SV with the SV-exclusive 3D-Superlight Dromos lightweight wheels, which are now central-locking, and are wrapped in bespoke Bridgestone Potenza Race R tires.

Exclusive to the Revuelto SV is the Pilota driving mode, a more in-depth five-stage traction control system derived from the GT3 racing experience of Lamborghini. This can be tweaked by the driver on the right-hand side of the steering wheel.

All the extensive efforts of Lamborghini on the Revuelto SV translate to a record-shattering 1:14.6 lap time around the Hockenheimring by their in-house driver, Marco Mapelli. This makes the Revuelto SV now the fastest production car to lap the German track.

If you are part of the small yet very fortunate group of people who can pony up Lamborghini money, you may better start wishing that PGA Cars opens up the order book for one, since production is limited to 1,963 units worldwide. May the V12 continue to sing on for years to come.
