Kia PH to launch the EV3 in September, followed by PV5 in October
One automaker that’s been pushing really hard and essentially revamping its lineup to have a stronger focus on electrified offerings is Kia Philippines, with a whole slew of full-electric offerings soon coming to the country to complement its current lineup, which features the EV5 and EV9.
We already know that the EV3 and PV5 are coming very soon, with the two already having been spotted in available public information.
However, Kia Philippines has confirmed, in celebration of today’s World EV Day, the launch dates of its two upcoming fully electric vehicles, with the EV3 launching this month (September), and the PV5 in October. The latter also mentions that the Cargo variant will “lead the rollout”, meaning that this is an indirect confirmation of passenger variants potentially arriving in the country as well.

To reiterate, EV3 is the 2025 World Car of the Year winner, a subcompact electric crossover that could possibly feature a 58.30kWh lithium-ion battery for up to 436km on a single charge, powered by a single front electric motor for a healthy 204 horsepower and 283Nm of torque.
It’s essentially a smaller version of the EV9’s Opposites United design language inside and out, and is full of tech such as dual 12.3-inch screens, a floating center console, a Harman Kardon sound system, and a full suite of advanced driver assistance systems.

As for the PV5, this Purpose-Built Vehicle (PBV) is a modular take on what an electric van would be from the brand. As confirmed, it’ll come initially as a Cargo variant, potentially powered by a single electric motor mated to a 51.5kWh lithium-ion battery, and said powertrain puts out 163 horsepower and 250Nm of torque.
It can carry up to 4,420L of cargo in its rear, making it ideal for businesses that would want to switch their fleets over to full electric vans, but we will most likely see ACMobility adopt this for their Power-On-Wheels portable EV charging service.
