Ford PH to bring in Ranger Raptor X in limited quantity
With already 14 different variants to choose from, Ford Philippines is expanding further, albeit for a limited time only, the Ranger lineup in the Philippines, further strengthening the blue oval’s leadership in the 4×4 pick-up truck segment in the country.
Announced today by none other than Ford Philippines managing director Michael ‘Mike’ Breen, FGP will be introducing the Ranger Raptor X with a limited quantity of just 200 units.
“The Ranger Raptor X leverages on the immense success of the Ranger Raptor in the market as we continue to boost our 4×4 truck lineup and reach a new group of performance pickup enthusiasts who are into aesthetic modifications,” shares Michael Breen, managing director, Ford Philippines.
First introduced in Australia, the Ranger Raptor X gets various aesthetic upgrades over the standard Ranger Raptor. These are red front tow hooks, an extended sports bar, matte black wheels which share the same design as on the standard Ranger Raptor, and red accents around the interior.
For the color options, the Ford Ranger Raptor X will be available in Arctic White, Conquer Gray, and Performance Blue.
Under the hood, the Ford Ranger Raptor X is powered by a 2.0-liter Bi-turbo diesel engine that produces 210 horsepower and 500 Nm of torque, paired to a 10-speed automatic transmission. This is still the same powertrain you will find in the standard Ranger Raptor and in the Wildtrak 4×4. Of course, the Ranger Raptor X still gets Position Sensitive Damping (PSD) shock absorbers exclusively manufactured by FOX from the Ranger Raptor.
Again, only 200 units of the Ford Ranger Raptor X will be made available in the country. It will be priced at Php 2,038,000, just Php 40,000 more than the standard Ranger Raptor which is priced at Php 1.998M. It will be available at Ford dealerships by July.
That’s not the only news though on the Ranger. Ford Philippines also announced that the 4×4 version of the Ranger Wildtrak is now available with a standard power roller shutter. Pricing remains at Php 1,728,000.
