This Is How Much The Geely Emgrand Will Cost Once Launched

We’re just two days away from the much-awaited launch of Geely’s subcompact sedan entry, the all-new Emgrand. While Geely Philippines has not yet announced any specifications and pricing, information has already found its way online.

These information we were able to source from a video created by an automotive vlogger in a Geely dealership, as well as a Geely sales executive who we inquired from through a relative.

First, pricing and variants. Once launched, the Geely Emgrand will be available in two variants, Comfort and Premium, with the latter being the top-spec variant. The Comfort will be priced at Php 798,000 while the Premium will be priced at Php 908,000. This means it undercuts most of its competition such as the Toyota Vios 1.5 G and Honda City 1.5 RS.

Shown in the walkthrough video was the Premium variant which being the higher variant is the most-equipped among the two variants. Among its standard exterior features are full LED headlights with LED daytime running lights, power-folding mirrors, 17-inch two-tone alloy wheels, 4-wheel disc brakes, full-width LED taillights, and an automatic opening trunk.

Inside, the Emgrand Premium gets a tri-tone color scheme made up of black, white, and blue. Other equipment are a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, leather-wrapped steering wheel, leather seats, electronic parking brake with auto-hold, push button start, and rear A/C vents. In addition, it gets remote engine start and a power sunroof.

Under the hood, the Geely Emgrand will solely be available with a naturally-aspirated engine, the first in Geely’s local lineup. It is powered by a 1.5-liter Inline 4-cylinder gasoline engine that produces 102 horsepower and 142 Nm of torque, paired to a continuously variable transmission.

We’re not yet sure what exact specifications and features the Emgrand Comfort will get but it won’t be long until the launch happens on February 25.
