Chery Auto PH records strong sales performance in May 2026

Chery Auto Philippines continues to see growth in its sales despite declining numbers from other brands in the industry. The Chinese automaker, distributed by the UAAGI Auto Group, has seen strong momentum throughout the first five months of the year.

From January to May 2026, Chery Auto Philippines was able to record a total sales figure of 762 units, a 55.5% increase compared to the same period last year. For the month of May alone, 202 vehicles were sold, equating to an 82% increase compared to the same month last year.

The company attributes this performance to growing interest in electrified vehicles, along with the introduction of its own electrified offerings over the past few months and years. This includes the Chery Tiggo rEV and the Tiggo Cross HEV.

At the recently concluded 10th Philippine International Motor Show (PIMS), Chery Auto Philippines expanded its electrified lineup further with the introduction of the Chery QEV, a fully electric hatchback, along with displays of its other crossovers.

These results reflect the growing trust and confidence that Filipino consumers place in the Chery brand,” said Chery Auto Philippines Brand Head Franz Decloedt. “Today’s motorists are more discerning than ever and are increasingly embracing electrified mobility solutions that deliver tangible everyday benefits. As more customers experience the value, innovation, and ownership journey that Chery offers, we remain committed to providing vehicle offerings that are intelligent, comfortable, and relevant to their evolving needs. This commitment continues to drive our mission of helping more Filipinos enjoy every journey with confidence and peace of mind.”
