GWM PH is the newest member of CAMPI

The number of automotive brands that are members of the Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines, Inc. (CAMPI) continues to grow as GWM Philippines officially announces its membership.
The Chinese automaker, distributed locally by Luxuriant Automotive Group, Inc. (LAGI), is the organization’s newest member, to which it says helps reinforce its commitment to supporting the growth of the local automotive industry.
“Being part of CAMPI is a major step forward for GWM Philippines as we continue to strengthen our presence in the country,” said GWM Philippines Brand Head Dax Avenido. “This milestone reinforces our commitment to contributing to the growth of the Philippine automotive industry while continuously delivering globally competitive vehicles, advanced technology, and customer-focused mobility solutions to Filipinos.”
The GWM brand re-entered the Philippine market in 2023, offering a mix of electrified and turbocharged crossovers, along with a lineup of diesel-powered pickup trucks. Recently, the brand has been revamping its lineup, focusing more on electrified off-road SUVs and fully electric vehicles.
GWM is also the 29th member of CAMPI, followed by the membership of Tesla and VinFast last year. In addition, its membership will also allow the brand to participate in future editions of the Philippine International Motor Show (PIMS).
