Hyundai gives its gorgeous Korea-only Grandeur sedan a facelift

In Hyundai’s home turf, the automaker has some drop-dead gorgeous models that they keep for themselves only, like its flagship Grandeur sedan that straddles even its own Genesis luxury brand when it comes to luxuries. For 2026, Hyundai’s seventh-generation flagship sedan undergoes a big mid-cycle facelift.

Going for a more sporty look this time around, the front of the Grandeur sedan has a sharper “shark nose” look with a large, “one-piece” mesh-effect grille with a silver surround, and the main headlights are shrunken down to a small strip found at the top of said grille. Of course, its one-piece DRL is above, where the signal lights are most likely found.

The total length has been lengthened by 15mm to 5,050mm, and it rides on new silver multi-spoke wheels that complement the matte burgundy finish. Finally, the rear bumper redesign is finished with a tweaked lightbar, where the light strip is moved upwards.

The cabin is the biggest change, where the automaker’s old CCnC infotainment is replaced in favor of a single large 17-inch infotainment screen running the Pleos OS that is based on Android Automotive, alongside a separate instrument cluster that’s in the driver’s line of sight, similar to what we first saw on the Hyundai Ioniq 3.

The interior also goes for hidden electronic climate vents, and a premium lounge concept design that was also first seen on the Ioniq 3, where lots of burgundy leather and wood can be found on the quilted seats, the “couch pattern” on the door cards, and the use of metal accents around makes it feel more elegant. Plus, an electrochromic film is applied to the glass roof, allowing it to switch between opaque and transparent states.

The Grandeur’s facelift is coming out soon in Korea, with more specifications to be revealed closer to its launch. However, this is one model that won’t definitely become a full battery EV yet, as the pre-facelift model is available in a myriad of powertrains ranging from four and six-cylinder engines, and even a hybrid model. We wouldn’t be surprised to see someone import one via the gray market, though, given how gorgeous it looks.
