Mitsubishi confirms that the iconic Multi Meter will return to the Pajero

The hype train for the upcoming Mitsubishi Pajero is in full swing now, with the brand releasing teaser after teaser for the soon-to-be-released flagship SUV. We already have an idea of what its face and the general specifications are, such as it being a ladder-frame chassis shared with the Triton, and that it will be a series of models.

Now, being teased is the confirmation of the iconic Multi Meter to the model. In previous generations, these would be mounted right in the middle of the dashboard, with gauges showing the likes of the vehicle’s Altitude, Roll, and Pitch—all things vital to off-roading.

Mitsubishi says that this one will be a digital triple meter display this time around, that calls homage, and it will provide a wide range of information, such as altitude, roll, pitch, and left-right torque distribution, which also hints at the vehicle’s off-road capabilities that other Mitsubishi models might not have had in the past.

However, if you’ve seen current Mitsubishi models, specifically the Xforce and the Destinator, they also have the same throwback digital triple meter display built into the vehicle’s infotainment system. We have no idea if the Pajero will utilize the same system, or if this will be a dedicated display on the dashboard, which we hope it will be, to keep the fans excited.
